6 Steps To Building A Tribe Around Your Speaking & Coaching Business

6 Steps To Building A Tribe Around Your Speaking & Coaching Business

November 28, 20232 min read

I am so proud of my Bucket List Tribe....suitably named 'Bucket Listers'. You guys literally span the globe. You're all out there with your #tickitB4Ukickit green signs too. Boy, haven't those pictures bought me some laughs and inspiration over the past 4 years. We'll save that for another blog.

Some of you have seen me speak. Some of you have bought a book. Some of you have been personal coaching clients of mine. Some of you I've never met. But hopefully, we will one day soon! Building a tribe around your speaking, coaching, and thought leadership / expert business as I have is important as it's a powerful way to create a loyal following and grow your business into the future.

So for this blog, I thought I'd unpack the 6 steps you can take to build a tribe if this is you:

  1. Identify Your Niche: Start by identifying your target market and the specific group of people you want to serve. This will help you to create content and messaging that resonates with your audience.

  2. Create Valuable Content: Produce content that is valuable to your target audience. This can include blog posts, videos, podcasts, or social media posts. Focus on providing tips, advice, and insights that help your audience solve their problems or achieve their goals.

  3. Engage With Your Audience: Interact with your audience through social media, email marketing, or live events. This will help you to build relationships with your followers and gain their trust.

  4. Encourage Community: Create a community around your coaching business by providing opportunities for your followers to connect with each other. This can include online forums, social media groups, or live events.

  5. Offer Personalized Coaching: Offer personalized coaching services that cater to the specific needs of your audience. This will help you to build deeper relationships with your clients and provide them with the support they need to achieve their goals.

  6. Leverage Social Proof: Use social proof to build credibility and authority. This can include testimonials, case studies, or endorsements from influencers in your industry.

By following these steps, you can create a loyal tribe around your coaching business and grow your brand. Remember that building a tribe takes time and effort, so be patient and consistent in your approach.

FYI - My new Bucket List Business Plan is designed for Speakers, Coaches, and Authors. In it, I'll introduce you to my S.P.E.C.I.A.L.I.S.T. Formula™. The 'T' at the end stands for 'Tribe'.

I'll unpack the rest of it when we chat.
