Saving Lives Supporting Veterans with Jeremy Locke

January 23, 20242 min read

In this episode of The Bucket List Life, Trav sits down with Jeremy Locke, founder of Aerial Recovery and The Aerial BVI. Jeremy shares his experiences in intelligence collection, military service, combating human trafficking, and supporting veterans and first responders. Get ready for an inspiring and insightful conversation that touches on vulnerability, humour, and the impact of trauma.

Who is Jeremy Locke?

Jeremy Locke is a highly experienced individual with two decades of military service in the U.S. Army. During his military career, he spent ten years in the U.S. Army Infantry and then transitioned to become a Special Forces Communications Sergeant and Team Sergeant. This diverse background has equipped Locke with the skills to operate effectively in challenging conditions.

In 2019, Locke discovered his calling when he and his now-wife, Britnie Turner, responded to the aftermath of Hurricane Dorian. They realised the immense potential of military expertise in disaster response, which led them to transform Aerial Recovery into a non-profit organisation powered by veterans. Since then, Locke has led numerous recovery and rescue missions and training sessions in over 20 countries.

Jeremy Locke is deeply committed to helping fellow veterans rediscover their sense of purpose. This commitment led to the establishment of the Heal the Heroes Initiative under Aerial Recovery, which repurposes more than 100 veterans and first responders each year. These individuals are transformed into Humanitarian Special Operators, leading life-saving efforts worldwide.
