Book 7/52 of My #52Books52Weeks Bucket List Challenge
Some books inspire. Some educate. And some straight-up kick you in the ass—which is exactly what Stop Fcking Around* by Craig Harper does.
Now, Craig isn’t just any author—he’s an old mate of mine from the Personal Training days, and I’ve had him on my Bucket List Life Podcast too. The guy has been dishing out no-nonsense wisdom for years, and this book is him at his best—raw, real, and brutally honest.
I picked this book up as part of my #52Books52Weeks challenge because I knew Craig wouldn’t sugarcoat anything. And he doesn’t disappoint. His message is simple: Stop making excuses, stop overthinking, and start taking responsibility for your life.
You Already Know What to Do – So Do It – Most people don’t need more knowledge; they need to actually apply what they already know.
Motivation is Overrated—Discipline Wins – If you’re waiting for motivation, good luck. Success comes from showing up and doing the work, even when you don’t feel like it.
Small, Consistent Efforts = Big Results – Whether it’s getting fit, building a business, or ticking off your Bucket List, daily action beats occasional inspiration.
Own Your Choices—No More Victim Mentality – Life doesn’t happen to you. Your future is a result of the decisions you make today.
Stop Waiting for the “Perfect Time” – There is no perfect time. The best time to start? Right now.
No More Excuses—Just Action – If you’ve been saying, “One day, I’ll do this,” cut the crap. Your Bucket List won’t tick itself off.
Discipline = Freedom – Want to travel more, take time off, or pursue passions? Get disciplined with your time, money, and energy.
Consistency Creates Momentum – Craig and I both know from our fitness days that showing up daily beats going hard once and quitting. The same applies to life.
Your Bucket List = Your Responsibility – No one’s going to hand you your dream life. If you want it, you’ve got to make it happen.
Take the First Step—Today – Whether it’s a big adventure, writing a book, or launching a business, the hardest part is starting. So stop waiting.
Reading Stop Fcking Around* was like catching up with an old mate who calls it as he sees it—and I love that. Craig’s message is clear: Action is everything. You don’t need more time, more knowledge, or more motivation. You just need to get started.
So, here’s my challenge to you: What’s one thing you’ve been putting off? And what’s one action you can take TODAY to move toward it?
No more waiting. No more excuses. Let’s tick some big things off that Bucket List! 🚀
Stay tuned for Book 8 of 52 as I continue this adventure of learning and growth!
